Big Brothers Big Sisters

Lace Up partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) for two events, conducting both a sport-themed match evend and a basketball clinic for Littles in the program.

In April, Lace Up hosted an event for Littles involved in basketball and other sports in their schools and communities. Kate created ice breakers and sports trivia games, where winning teams were awarded with various prizes, including basketballs. At the conclusion, Lace Up surprised the Littles with basketball shoes to help them continue participation in sports programs.

In May, Lace Up again teamed up with BBBSLA this time with a basketball clinic. Tim and Kate took the Littles and matches through stretching, dribbling, passing, and shooting drills, and shooting games. Thirteen Littles took part in the event, and lace Up had been asked to host another clinic the following year.
